Motion:
Privacy, data, and cookies

Privacy and data practices in plain language.

This policy explains what CLARC Publishing collects through this website, how first-party cookies and basic analytics work, how contact inquiries are protected, and the choices available to visitors.

1. Scope and organization

This policy applies to the CLARC Publishing website and its contact, cookie-preference, and first-party analytics functions. CLARC LLC operates this site under the CLARC Publishing name. External websites linked from this site maintain their own privacy practices.

2. Information collected

Information you submit

When you use the institutional inquiry form, CLARC receives the institution or organization name, contact name, title if supplied, email address, phone number if supplied, selected service need, and the project details entered in the form.

Security and anti-spam information

The contact system records a pseudonymous hash derived from the connecting IP address and may retain the browser user-agent string. These fields support rate limiting, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and form security. A hash is treated as pseudonymous data rather than as guaranteed anonymous data.

Optional basic analytics

Only after a visitor accepts basic analytics, the site may record the page path, event type, referring website host, browser language, broad screen-size category, broad device type, browser family, event time, and pseudonymous session and IP hashes. The analytics system does not intentionally collect precise location, advertising identifiers, form contents, full referring URLs, or cross-site browsing profiles.

Hosting logs

The website host may create routine server and security logs when delivering the site. Those logs may include request time, requested resource, IP address, browser information, and technical error details according to the hosting provider's systems and retention practices.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site uses first-party storage only for the functions described below. It does not include third-party advertising cookies.

4. How information is used

  • Respond to institutional inquiries and evaluate requested services.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and contact system.
  • Measure basic page usage and service interest when analytics consent is provided.
  • Prevent automated submissions, abuse, and excessive requests.
  • Maintain appropriate business records and comply with applicable obligations.

5. Sharing and sale of information

CLARC may use hosting, database, email, security, or technical service providers that process information only as needed to provide those services. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate misuse. CLARC does not sell website visitor information and does not use the site for third-party behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Retention

Basic analytics records are automatically deleted after approximately 90 days. Contact-form submissions are configured for deletion after approximately 730 days, unless information is needed longer for an active business relationship, a requested service, dispute resolution, security investigation, or a legal or recordkeeping obligation. Cookie durations are listed above. Backup copies may persist briefly until normal backup rotation completes.

7. Your choices and requests

You may select Essential only when the cookie notice appears. You may reopen the notice at any time through the Cookie settings control in the footer. Browser controls can also remove cookies and local storage.

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information. Submit a request through the contact form . CLARC may take reasonable steps to verify the request before acting on it.

8. Security

CLARC uses access controls, protected storage directories, input validation, rate limiting, pseudonymous hashing, and limited data collection to reduce risk. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Children

This institutional and professional-services website is not directed to children under 13, and CLARC does not knowingly seek personal information from children through the site.

10. Policy changes

This policy may be updated when site functions, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of the page will be revised when material changes are published.
